Why Men Believe Some Women Aren't Married

Men ask this question to single women around the world each day. Why Aren't You Married?
I really want to get the male perspective on why some women in the age range from 25-45 aren't married yet? If you have an opinion please post your comments. Women want to know what you think. This is something that can really help change the family. Help us better understand each other as the opposite sex to inform and educate one another and our youth. We are a reflection of what we've been taught, what we seen in our communities and society as a whole or what we see in those areas today.  As, I and many others have said before nothing can be resolved if we don't talk about these issues. Here is your chance to voice your opinion. Help change things for the better.

Tamera Talks About Vegas & Losing Her Virginity at 29

Tamera Talks Letting Loose in Vegas & Losing Her Virginity at 29

I really love Tia and Tamera as women they are good role models for young girls that are trying to live respectable lives. Their reality show allows those young girls and women to realize it is possible to get what you want out of life and still have good morals and values. On top of that they still now how to have a good time and be adventurous, driven, and highly family oriented. Tamera, has recently come out with the age she lost her virginity to her now husband Adam Housley. This is a story many need to see for themselves. I read it and was thanking God more light is shining on this topic. So, here it is:
The girls' trip to Vegas was well-needed! It was so much fun to just get out with the girls and let loose. I hadn't done that in a long time. Aden was 4-months-old at the time, and for four months straight, I was in mommy mode.
I had just been getting used to having a nanny. Moms know that when they take care of their kids and, then, slowly but surely put them under someone else's care, it's hard! It was very hard for me to just let go and trust that someone was going to take care of my baby just as well as I could.
But I was able to enjoy my time in Vegas thanks to my girlfriends...and a couple of drinks!
My favorite part about going to Vegas was the dancing. I wanted to dance for so long. I hadn't danced since my wedding. Going dancing with the girls was a really nice release for me.
While out for drinks, I shared with the ladies that I had waited to lose my virginity until I was 29. Some people may not understand it, but I have a lot more people who are so supportive and just encouraged by it. I recently talked about it during a radio interview. I had no idea that it was going to be that much of a big deal. My friend Cheri revealed that she's still a virgin in the episode. The women who I surround myself with share the same values.
Adam was so supportive of my decision to remain a virgin for that long, which really helped me. I met him when I was 25 or 26. If you're celibate or want to stay a virgin, it's important that you be with somebody who either shares your same view or respects it. After dating Adam for three years, I knew it was time. It just felt right. I knew that I was safe with him.
Deciding between participating in the celebrity poker tournament with Tia and leaving Vegas early to be with my husband at his big event for his alma mater was hard. It was difficult because I knew that someone I loved was not going to be happy with either decision I made.
Ultimately, I decided to be home with my family because although I knew that it would frustrate my sister, I knew that she would get over it because she knows my heart.

Sleepless Nights

I try my best to give people chances to do the right thing, and no matter what has been said or done to me. I don't want bitterness and continuous anger to fall deep within my heart. I know what that looks like, what it sounds like, and bitterness is never a favorable taste on the tongue. So, I live with forgiveness in my spirit knowing one day I too will be judged. The highest judge of them all said in order for us to be forgiven we have to forgive others. Not sure about you, but I want to be forgiven. I will not say that I don't have a tough time forgiving people who have taken my kindness for weakness, but I ask God to have mercy on them because they do not know what they do and they don't understand what it means to be a child of God.. in a biblical sense they do not know. For if they did they would be willingly setting themselves up for failure, and who walks around saying when I grow up I want to be a failure, absolutely no one. I help people with their prayer lives daily, whatever they need to go to God on I come in prayer to agree with them. I've heard many request some on forgiveness of others, or receiving God's forgiveness for the things they have done that have caused them shame, pain, and guilt. That's what is so comforting to me about God that He will give you chance after chance if you come with a heart of repentance He'll give you forgiveness freely without hesitation. For normal human beings, it might take awhile to even consider being in your presence let alone forgive you especially if you did the wrongful act against them. Forgiveness just may be the last thing on their minds. Thank you Lord that isn't how you operate! You never leave us no matter how many times we turn our backs on you. We ignore your will and follow our own and once we fall on our faces, and get burned time after time. You lift us back up like the loving Father you are and dust us off to let us try again until we get it right.

Honesty

My voice an angelic sound ringing thru the depths of your soul. Whatever you want to hear I spoke before you thought to share. I say I’m hungry when I’m not. I say I’m awake when I’m about to fall asleep. I say I’m content when I’m lonely. I say I need you when I don’t. My eyes, yes my eyes tell you truth and lies. My eyes are piercing rods attacking your heart with each glance. They tell you leave when I want you to stay. They tell you I understand when I could care less. They tell you I’m not who you think I am. You can’t see past the smoke to the other side where I hide my desires, fears, and regrets. You can’t see past the fire I created to keep you at bay. You think you could get through . So, I’m here to tell you many have tried and failed to continue on this path. What makes you think your worthy of making this fortress come down at your feet. I am doubtful that any could or will succeed in this quest of understanding and excepting my heart. I block it in a corner and its stays there waiting for answers. My hearts talks to me saying it wants to be seen and heard. It wants to be rescued…. Rescued from me.

Relationships: Hot or Not

Ladies we have come a long way from being told that we are only made for baby making , taking care of a family, and staying home instead of working. Women are more aggressive then ever in the year 2012. We have more drive to have more, do more, and be more. Not only to prove it to our family, friends, or society but for ourselves. Some females believe that they have to find themselves through a man. Not, the women of today. So, that leaves the question are relationships hot or not? If I took a poll of women to answer this question. How would you think they would respond? You’d be surprised how many would say its not at this time in their lives. Being single isn’t the worst thing in the world for a woman. Living her life through a man just might be. I’m not apposed to a man and a women being in a committed relationship. As long as both people are living out their dreams together it’ll be a beautiful union. You also have to have open communication with that person. Be comfortable enough that you can go to them about anything. If you can’t talk to them and open up then your just wasting your time. Communication is always a deal breaker with any relationship. Whether it’s with the opposite sex, friends or family without it a relationship can die quickly. In a race to find ourselves, sometimes we don’t want to fully commit to the opposite sex. Not to say we never want to get married or be with someone seriously. We want to have fun every once in awhile on the rise to further our education, get a job, advance in our career, be financial independent, and know we did it on our own.
We all need support sooner or later in our lives, and we want to be able to support our significant others. Relationships are hard to maintain because eventually the honeymoon stage will come to an end. Then the real work begins, and not everyone is up for the challenge. If your not up to the challenge. I suggest you don’t enter into one until you are.

Temporary Seasons in Life

Most things are only meant to be temporary. Like a rose, for instance, is considered to be the most beautiful and romantic of all flowers. But even roses have a season... Even roses wither away becoming brittle, dry, and dark. It fades away until all the beauty you saw in the beginning is gone. Dying right before your eyes and the only thing left for you. Is to throw the remaining pieces of this once beautiful creation of God away, and await something equally beautiful that will last.. unfading and unchanging.

Who's Most Likely To Cheat? Men or Women

April 9, 2009
Social Psychology
Research Project

Hypothesis: Men and women our equal when it comes to being unfaithful to their partners, but the reasons for being unfaithful are different among genders.
Men cheat on their partners because the opportunity presents itself to them, and women cheat based on their emotions.
The Research Method: Correlational Research

I made a survey about who cheats more in a relationship. The survey consist of 21 detailed questions on relationship statuses and current or previous history with cheating partners. I surveyed 26 people on the campus of Lane College, and the results were the majority of men and women agreed women cheated the most in a relationship.

Survey Results are:
Single Men between the ages of 18-22 that have been in committed relationships disagree that an open relationships last longer than committed relationships.
3 out of 11 single men had an average sex drive, lost their virginity between 14-16 years old, and cheated in their previous relationships. 4 out of 11 single men said they
cheated strictly because the opportunity presented itself or they were emotional dissatisfied. 6 out of 11 single men said women cheat more than men.
Men in relationships between the ages of 19-23 say they haven’t cheated in their previous or current relationships, and they believe women cheat more than men.
Single Women between the ages of 18-22 had an open relationship with their partner, and they didn’t cheat in their previous current relationships. The majority of single women admitted that they believe committed relationships last longer, but they have extreme highs and lows of interest while in a committed relationship. The majority of single women had average sex drives.
The findings for women in committed relationships between the ages of 18-20
is that they cheated on their partners and the reason was emotional dissatisfaction, and they experience extreme highs and lows while in a committed relationship. The majority of the women had a high sex drive.
Through my research I have discovered that women are more unfaithful than men, which proved that part of my hypothesis was wrong, but the reasoning proved to be valid.
A guy's MO is usually sex, while women tend to do it to fulfill emotional needs. The reasons men and women cheat are set up in different categories with only a few similarities.

Reasons Why Women Cheat:
It used to be that guys were more likely to be the unfaithful ones in relationships. But these days, women are catching up--an increasing number of chicks are guilty of having sex on the side, according to couples therapists. Further proof: In a large Cosmo poll, 80 percent of women admitted to cheating on their significant others.
Why the rise in two-timing females? A lot of girls are ambivalent about their boyfriends--they want to make sure they find The Right One, so they explore to see if there's anyone better than who they're with. And technology--cell phones, the Internet--has made it easier to pull it off without getting caught. To better understand this trend, Cosmo convinced fidelity-challenged women to confess all the scandalous details.

WHY THEY DID IT:
* "My guy was so busy at work that he had to cancel our dates a lot. He felt bad blowing me off, so when he couldn't make it, he'd have his best friend take me instead--a stupid move on his part. I already felt neglected because he put his job before me, and his friend was so nice and attentive. Not surprisingly, we started sleeping together."--Roxy, 28
* "I cheat whenever my boyfriend does something to piss me off, like sitting on the couch watching football all day. Then I'll go out with my friends and make it a goal to hook up."--Vera, 22
* "Because he forgot my birthday."--Penny, 22

* "My boyfriend, Patrick, cheated on me once, and I never totally forgave him. So when I ran into a guy I'd had a crush on in college at a party and he admitted he liked me, I went with my gut and hooked up with him. I'm sure it was to get back at Patrick."--Kate, 30
WHAT HOOKING UP WAS LIKE
* "The sex was in a different league--animalistic and raw. We couldn't keep our hands off each other. It reinforced to me how sexually dissatisfied I was in my relationship."--Madge, 27
* "Doing it with Rob was freakin' incredible. When he touched me, it felt like a wave crashing over me, and I literally lost control of my body. But immediately after I climaxed, this powerful guilt set in."--Jane, 27
* "What I liked about the sex was that I'd had a legitimate reason to put on a dramatic show of resisting--'We really shouldn't. I have a boyfriend ... but you're so hot...but we really shouldn't....' We hung in this delicious limbo for hours. You can't get away with that kind of stuff with your boyfriend--he just wants to get down to business."--Roberta, 33
* "The second we kissed, I knew I had made a horrible mistake. But that second was one of the most erotic moments of my life."--Violet, 25
* "Having new sexual territory to explore was a rush, but I also felt kind of uncomfortable. In the middle of hooking up, my guy's face would pop into my mind and ruin it."--Kiki, 24

HOW THEY COVERED THEIR TAILS

"My boyfriend was getting something out of my handbag and asked me why I had condoms in there because I'm on the Pill. I told him they were giving them away at school, so I grabbed a bunch for my roommates."--Jan, 22

* "I said I joined the Big Sister club, and we had a lot of late meetings. Hey, if I'm going to lie, I might as well make him think I'm highly moral."--Sabina, 26
THE EMOTIONAL AFTERMATH:
* "I actually started falling in love with the guy I was screwing around with, but he wasn't interested in me for anything but sex. Turned out, he didn't think I'd make a very good girlfriend!"--Fran, 24
* "It was liberating. I proved to myself I didn't have to stand for guys who treated me badly, like my boyfriend, since I could get other men."--Eva, 29

7 Reasons Men Cheat
By Tom Milnes

There are numerous reasons why men may endanger a relationship by cheating — if you catch a guy in a confessional mood here are a few you may hear:

1. Fear of commitment
"I had been dating Michelle for about four months when the invitation to her Dad's party arrived. I guess we were an item, but it was freaky becoming a 'plus one' overnight. Maybe that's why I hooked up with my buddy's cousin, I don't know. She was pretty, from out of town and understood this was a one-time thing ... I never did make it to that party."
— Victor, Scottsdale, Ariz.

2. For the thrill of it
"Every year I'm responsible for an intern. Usually it is some clingy, overachieving geek, but this year I scored. A redheaded beauty, she knew she was the bee's knees and enjoyed watching me drool. It was risky and I didn't get much work done, but my girlfriend knows my work comes first."
— Roger, Atlanta, Ga.

3. He is not fulfilled
"My ex, Brenda and I started out sharing late nights, long talks and make out sessions at the pub. It was beautiful, but it faded quickly. Now I'm lucky to get her off the couch. And physical intimacy? Well, forget about it. I think it was a return to those early days I was looking for that Saturday night I found myself at the pub by myself and on the prowl. I didn't leave alone, but I sure feel that way now."
— TJ, San Francisco, Calif.

4. Sabotage
"Sandie and I always seemed mismatched, but between my waffling and her crying I could never quite end it with her. It got so bad that eventually I started to resent her. I had to do something. I know it wasn't right, but one night I hit on a friend of hers and well, something happened. It wasn't the best way to end a relationship but at least it's done."
— Drew, Dallas, Texas

5. Revenge
"I love parties and I wasn't about to miss another just because my girlfriend doesn't — so I went stag. Sure, there were some real hotties there and a little innocent flirting on my part, but that's all. But that wasn't good enough for Gina. She was sure I had cheated, and holds it over my head to this day. Well, let her think what she wants. She's got a past, too. There will be other parties and maybe next time I won't be so innocent."
— Alex, Buffalo, N.Y.

6. Because you let him
"Yeah I admit it. I am a little bit of a dog when it comes to the ladies. Even though I consider Angela my girlfriend, there have been other women. I'm not saying that she thinks it was okay, but she did catch me once and after a little groveling and some flowers she took me right back. A man's got his needs. I think she knows that."
— Paul, Pasadena, Calif.

7. Emotional escape
"The week before I left for my trip, Heather and I got into another doozy. I love her and all, but no matter what I say she always ends up nagging me. I'm just tired of it. I travel a lot and I've got way too much invested in the relationship to break it off, so I have just decided to mix business with pleasure. What she doesn't know won't hurt her and I really need a break now and then."
— Sean, Chicago, Ill.

Warm Weather:
Summer is cheat season the time of year when people are most likely to sneak around on their partners. And though chicks do their fair share of cheating, guys are more prone to being summertime two-timers because they're more likely to stray in general, says New York City therapist Diana Kirschner, PhD, author of the forthcoming Love in 90 Days.

Reasons Men Two-Time During Summer:

Remember when you were a kid and summer meant no school, freedom, and fun? Well, that attitude carries over into adulthood, leaving us with the sense that during these months, the usual rules don't apply "Some men take this to mean that it's okay to cheat once the hot weather rolls around," explains Daniel Kruger, PhD, evolutionary psychologist at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. "They think, Oh, it's just a summer fling, as if normal couple behavior is on hiatus."
That same outlook also makes people associate the summer with adventure. "Now is the time when you're more apt to try something new, and any novelty increases your body's production of dopamine, which triggers the release of testosterone--two chemicals associated with energy, elation, and sex," explains Helen Fisher, PhD, author of Why We Love. Translation: A guy may seek sexually charged situations and could give in if tempted.

People are also simply way more social in fire summer. Balmy weather puts us in a happier, more gregarious frame of mind, drawing us together via lots of social events--like outdoor dining, backyard parties, and group trips to the beach. "With more. people in a friendly, even flirty, mood coming out to socialize, there's a larger market of women to mingle with and, thus, increased chances for a man to be unfaithful," says Kruger.
And its obvious: When the temperature goes up, clothes come off. Since guys are so easily turned on by all the female skin they see poking out of sundresses, tank tops, and short shorts on the street and at work, they're in a constant state of heightened desire. As a result, it may be easier for them to submit to lust should an opportunity arise.

The Healing Process:
According to the article bases directory nearly 20% of all marriages seem to involve affairs and infidelity. Dealing with it afterwards is always the hardest part once the person has learned the truth and now wants to know all about it.

Whatever the reason is, if an affair has taken place and both sides now know the truth, then it is time to begin the healing process. It is not a pleasant process at all, but a growing process. Both sides must commit to resolving the issues which caused such infidelity to occur and let the healing begin. You shouldn’t automatically forgive them for having an affair, but those who don’t want to end their long history with their spouse and feel they can forgive that ok. But they still have to work out those issues that caused your spouse to cheat. If not denial comes forth and its not healthy for either person involved. The cheater has to roll with the punches of how their partner feels then try not to be angry and spiteful and look more towards finding the solution through first contacting a counselor in the area. This will begin the process of bringing to the surface those things which really make the difference between you and your loved one and begin the path of healing.

Second Chances/ Unleashed

Second chances is there a point to it? Or should the past just be exactly that. I use to believe that if things were meant to be it would happen either at the present time or the future. Now, I’m not so sure. What is the cutting point of receiving or lending out another chance for a person or someone’s dream to flourish. Is it within our power to have the last say or does a higher power choose it for us? We may never really know, but I have decided to do something about it. I’ve been in a inner battle with the good girl(wants to give people the benefit of the doubt) this girl is optimistic and trusting to those she feels have earned her trust in the past. Bad girl (Could care less about how you feel) If you trying to get over on her you would seriously regret it. She can be vengeful and a flat out B****  “A Hellish Fire Seeking Mussel”. Locked on a human target ready to explode on contact.

Not sure which one is going to win out, but I’ll make certain to inform you on the conclusion to this vast dilemma. These girls come out in different situations sometimes its hard to say when it’s appropriate to unleash them. One may think that it’s never a good time to let out your bad side, but its not healthy to let it stew inside you for too long. Otherwise, when that side does show it will become uncontrollable and reek havoc on any by-stander in the way of the main source of your anger. If you have any stories on whether you had an impulsive reaction or purposely unleash the “dungeon dragon” within you. So, if your not ashamed or just want to give some good advice please share your thoughts with me.

FRIENDS AT WAR OVER A GUY

How do you go about showing interest in a guy your friend is also attracted too? Who makes the first move on the guy? I’ve dealt with friends that said they weren’t feeling a guy I liked, but the moment I wasn’t around their actions spoke much louder than their words. If, you find yourself in a situation when your with your best friend and you both zone in on a hot guy. Please, follow these rules to avoid a dramatic or regretful experience.

Rule #1 Discuss it before you act
Be honest about how you feel. Just because your friend mentioned her interest first doesn’t mean you should back away into a hole.
I believe if you both admit to the attraction then you should let the man decide who he wants. I just ask for it to be tastefully done. No, going behind your friend’s back making overly sexual gestures to him. So you can one up the unsuspecting friend. If that’s the only way you can get a man’s interest its just sad and down right pitiful.
“It really depends on the circumstances. If they met him and fell for him first you should back off. If you all both met at the same time you both should back off to avoid drama”. - Candyce
Of course there are always exceptions to every rule, if he shows interest in your friend first you should back off immediately or if you believe your not too interested after speaking with him their isn’t a reason to go forward.

Rule #2 Divide and Conquer.
If your not apposed to making the first move after you and your friend have an agreement to take a chance on him. You should both engage in a conversation with him.
I would prefer you do this separately so he can focus on you. Men can get easily distracted, but if you feel more comfortable doing it together it’s ok. I stress this to the up most capacity don’t over do it but be classy. The man you want to be with shouldn’t be won over strictly because your throwing yourself at him. Most guys think it’s a huge turn-off anyway. Be yourself and sincere with this guy. The only way you’ll know if he is worth all this is if you show him what your all about. That way when he talks to you both he can make the best decision on who he’s most compatible with.
“He is still fair game until he decides who he wants in my honest opinion”. - Gabriel
“It seriously depends on who he is most interested in”. - Natasha

Rule #3 Don’t get Angry, Disappointed, or Regretful !!
This section basically speaks for itself, their isn’t a need for you to get angry with your friend if he shows more interest in her. Looks can be deceiving, but if that isn’t the case he’s not the only man in the room or on the earth. There are plenty more where that came from. Don’t be disappointed in your capability of attracting a man. When that man said no, fifteen or twenty more around you would’ve said yes.You should be proud of taking a chance most of the greatest experiences in life came from taking a risk. At least, you don’t have to go home wondering what if. The words “What” and “If” are harmless words individually but when put side by side they’re hell to live with. Besides, this man did you a huge favor he helped you dodge a bullet. As an added bonus, you won’t be intimated when you really do meet Mr. Right.

The Secret Reality of Fairy-Tales

Most of us can not resist the boy-meets-girl romantic fairy-tale setup.
We want that classic story to tell our future grandchildren about the magical moment we met their grandfather “our soul mate”. Some women fall in love with the fairy-tale in itself. We become curious of our surroundings not truly grasping the impact of the choices we make. Questions asked never receive a straight answer you get thrown in a maze of riddles. So, who really has time to understand the possibilities of failure when your at a tea party with the Mad Hatter eating cookies and cakes. Not realizing soon you will be falling down the rabbit hole to awaken from bliss into a beautiful nightmare.
In every old-fashioned fairy-tale there is a beginning that leads you into the journey. Mine started on a yellow school bus. Everyone knew each other already and I was the new girl. I remember one day this guy walked from the back of the bus and sat next to me. He had a nice smile and a cheery disposition. When he spoke I already knew in my gut why he was there. He introduced himself and asked me what was my name. He said one of his guy friends thought I was attractive and convinced him to do his dirty work. I turned around to the back and he pointed in his direction. I quickly turned back and said you knew before you asked I would say no. Then we both laughed and talked until his stop. After that he sat next to me everyday. This young man became my best friend. Now, I wonder if everything happens for a reason then our friendship was apart of my destiny or maybe God must have blinked.
Within a year, we were an item and he would always nag me about having to wait an entire year before he could date me officially. Becoming high school sweethearts didn’t come naturally to my surprise. Nothing changed between us expect we carried a different title. He walked me to my classes, we went to lunch together , we talked on the bus, and we stayed up all night talking or fell asleep on the phone then did it all over again. What we had was a simple routine. After six months, our relationship disintegrated from lack of quality time and rumors. It may have taken awhile but we both decided to remain friends.
Throughout my college years he popped in and out of my life. He moved back to Nashville, TN the summer before my senior year. Do to family issues he was homeless. So, I talked to my uncle and he agreed to rent him a room. I went over everyday to check on him and drove him to job interviews or anywhere he needed to go. Then it happened, he said he wanted to rekindle what we had. That wasn’t what scared me it was the fact he was ready to get married and have kids. I wasn’t ready for something so serious,
because I had no real life experience. I was very sheltered growing up and he was the wild child.
As a result, I told him I couldn’t be with him. I believed that I made the right choice by not rushing into an unstable earnest commitment, because I would never what to hurt someone I cared about by living a lie. The reminder of my senior year I missed him terribly everything reminded me of him, but we weren’t speaking. Until one afternoon,
I was on a three-way phone call with him and a mutual friend. He said he had big news then blurted out he was engaged with a baby on the way. I’d never thought I could feel the pain of being shot through the heart without it breaking my skin. I was bleeding internally so holding a conversation was out the window. At that moment, I knew any feelings or hopes of us being together in the future were over. Life on the other hand has a funny way of proving you wrong.
Less than a year later, he contacted me and to my disbelief I wasn’t angry.
There wasn’t any exchanges of questions passing through the channels of my brain.
I jumped in head first into a never ending pool of uncertainty. He said he was
separated from his fiancé and he needed to know how I felt about him once and for all. True romantics call this action a golden moment for the main characters to confess their harbored feelings thus beating the odds of a love lost. Well, I did just that I confessed my love for the first time, but I began to feel regretful for putting myself in such a vulnerable position after not hearing from him for weeks.
Turns out after we got back in touch and talked about the possibility of him moving back to be with me. I saw a facebook posting of his saying he was engaged again. On his status was a wedding ceremony date a month away, location, and invitations for anyone interested in coming. If you recall what I said earlier about pain it doesn’t even scratch the surface of what I felt then. It’s clear my heart wasn’t the only deceiver it didn’t betray me alone. I lost a love interest and my best friend.
I’m not sure of all the life lessons that will come my way. I suppose the universe has a greater meaning of karmic ties and I will become a better human being because of it.
One thing I have learned from this situation is I don’t believe in fairy-tales.
No, I believe in love. Love isn’t a fantasy its real unlike fairy-tales it can easily be experienced when focused on the source it comes from. The light of love is inside of us all so please let it shine bright enough for the world to see.
