When Reddit user XminusOne moved into a new neighborhood, he noticed he was the only white person there. So after his American flag was stolen, he found this note on his car.

Perms Linked To Uterine Fibroid Tumors, Early Puberty, and Painful Menstrual Cramps

This isn't too surprising to me that these harsh chemicals we put on our hair. Are causing serious health issues in African American Women. Ladies we must do better by researching what we are putting on and in our bodies. Don't let beauty sacrifice your health. Their are better options for yourself. Your natural hair is beautiful whatever the world may say about it. So many women are making that statement with their hair and more people accept it today. And for those we choose to keep up with straightening your hair make sure you research the products you want to use. Make your health your priority. Read the article below for more information. This was found on website http://thefrt.com/getting-perms-is-linked-to-uterine-fibroid-tumors-early-puberty-7-ways-to-stop-painful-menstrual-cramps/

new study in the American Journal of Epidemiology definitely adds a point to the #TeamNatural tally with a published paper from researchers at Boston University linking hair relaxers to uterine fibroid tumors in women and early puberty in young girls.
Led by Lauren Wise of Boston University’s Slone Epidemiology Center, scientists followed more than 23,000 pre-menopausal Black American women from 1997 to 2009 and found that the two- to three-times higher rate of fibroids among black women may be linked to chemical exposure through scalp lesions and burns resulting from relaxers.
Women who got their first menstrual period before the age of 10 were also more likely to have uterine fibroids, and early menstruation may result from hair products black girls are using, according to a separate study published in the Annals of Epidemiology last summer. Three hundred African American, African Caribbean, Hispanic, and White women in New York City were studied. The women’s first menstrual period (menarche) varied anywhere from age 8 to age 19, but African Americans, who were more likely to use straightening and relaxers hair oils, also reached menarche earlier than other racial/ethnic groups.
While so far, there is only an association rather than a cause and effect relationship between relaxers, menarche, and fibroid tumors, as Tamika Fletcher, co-owner of Natural Resources salon in Houston, pointed out in a Fox report, the hair care industry isn’t regulated by the FDA so there’s no telling what black women are putting in their hair and how harmful those products may be.
These studies go way beyond the damaging effects chemical relaxers may have on one’s hair, women and girls may be damaging their reproductive systems with some of the hair products they use, making it even more critical to know exactly what you’re putting in your hair and in your body.
How do you research the hair products you use and make sure their safe?

The Wonderful Benefits Of Ginger To Your Body

Ginger is the key to healthy living if your tired of going to the doctor to take pill after pill for a cure that causes more things to go wrong in your body due to side effects. I'm not saying to ignore your doctor if you have serious health issues, but you could try using some natural remedies to sooth your body and bring the balance you need. This could help prevent dependence on medications and less trips to the doctor and more money in your wallet. I got this recipe online yesterday it's listed below for the people who love juicing!

Two-Ingredient Peanut Butter Cup Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bars by Averie Sunshine

There are only two ingredients in these bars. And they’re gluten-free. I decided to try these out for my best friend's bridal shower. Its coming up soon and I'm going to make a few desserts for the special occasion. I thought the Peanut Butter Cup Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bars looked great on the website by Averie Sunshine. I can't wait to try them out and give you the results and reviews at the bridal shower. I love the fact its gluten- free being that I'm in the wedding party. I'm looking out for our figures for the big day!! lol If you'd like to try this recipe out the ingredients and how to prepare are listed below. Enjoy :-)
They’re so easy and it feels like there should be a catch, but there isn’t. I used the new Pillsbury Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, pressed it into a pan, topped it with peanut butter cups, and baked.
Normally I’m a scratch baker and have recipes for similar bars, including Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk Cookie Bars and Peanut Butter Cup Cookie Dough Crumble Bars. Keep those recipes gluten-free by replacing the all-purpose flour with your favorite gluten-free flour blend. And there’s homemade vegan Peanut Butter Cups in case you’d like to do it all from scratch. Or you can just crack open a tub of gluten-free refrigerated cookie dough and within 5 minutes, these two-ingredient wonders are ready to bake. The most time consuming part of the recipe is unwrapping 9 peanut butter cups. The dough on top of the lid is the reserved dough used for crumbling over the peanut butter cups. Don’t overbake to ensure your bars stay ooey-gooey-soft-and-chewy. I baked for just over 13 minutes for super soft bars. I’m extremely impressed with this dough, which isn’t the norm when it comes to gluten-free products. Many gluten-free flours and blends taste like dirt, or leave items with a gritty, sandy texture. Other times gluten-free items are dry, or they’re crumbly and fall apart from the lack of gluten and its binding properties. The bars have none of those issues. There’s no grittiness, sandiness, and they certainly don’t taste like dirt. I kind of wish they did and maybe we wouldn’t have eaten the whole pan in less than a day.
They’re incredibly moist and are melt-in-your mouth soft and tender. The dough is buttery with plenty of chocolate chips. Many refrigerated doughs, gluten-free or not, are very skimpy on the amount chocolate chips, whereas I am not. I was pleasantly surprised at the quantity of mini chocolate chips. And then after being doctored up with peanut butter cups, there’s definitely no shortage of chocolate. Or peanut butter. Everything is better with peanut butter, of course. Bow Wow Stunned By Kiss With Tyra Banks

' This is the most hilarious reaction from a kiss I've seen, and the people kissing is even more amusing to me because of the comments after the show was aired. Most people are either extremely envious of Bow Wow getting not one chance but twice in a lifetime he has been able to kiss the top model herself Tyra Bank or many gave them high remarks especially Tyra for playfully making Bow Wow melt into the floor with this shocking kiss.

Tamera Talks About Vegas & Losing Her Virginity at 29

Tamera Talks Letting Loose in Vegas & Losing Her Virginity at 29

I really love Tia and Tamera as women they are good role models for young girls that are trying to live respectable lives. Their reality show allows those young girls and women to realize it is possible to get what you want out of life and still have good morals and values. On top of that they still now how to have a good time and be adventurous, driven, and highly family oriented. Tamera, has recently come out with the age she lost her virginity to her now husband Adam Housley. This is a story many need to see for themselves. I read it and was thanking God more light is shining on this topic. So, here it is:
The girls' trip to Vegas was well-needed! It was so much fun to just get out with the girls and let loose. I hadn't done that in a long time. Aden was 4-months-old at the time, and for four months straight, I was in mommy mode.
I had just been getting used to having a nanny. Moms know that when they take care of their kids and, then, slowly but surely put them under someone else's care, it's hard! It was very hard for me to just let go and trust that someone was going to take care of my baby just as well as I could.
But I was able to enjoy my time in Vegas thanks to my girlfriends...and a couple of drinks!
My favorite part about going to Vegas was the dancing. I wanted to dance for so long. I hadn't danced since my wedding. Going dancing with the girls was a really nice release for me.
While out for drinks, I shared with the ladies that I had waited to lose my virginity until I was 29. Some people may not understand it, but I have a lot more people who are so supportive and just encouraged by it. I recently talked about it during a radio interview. I had no idea that it was going to be that much of a big deal. My friend Cheri revealed that she's still a virgin in the episode. The women who I surround myself with share the same values.
Adam was so supportive of my decision to remain a virgin for that long, which really helped me. I met him when I was 25 or 26. If you're celibate or want to stay a virgin, it's important that you be with somebody who either shares your same view or respects it. After dating Adam for three years, I knew it was time. It just felt right. I knew that I was safe with him.
Deciding between participating in the celebrity poker tournament with Tia and leaving Vegas early to be with my husband at his big event for his alma mater was hard. It was difficult because I knew that someone I loved was not going to be happy with either decision I made.
Ultimately, I decided to be home with my family because although I knew that it would frustrate my sister, I knew that she would get over it because she knows my heart.

Benefits of Coconut Oil: Why You Should Use It

I came across this article and I had to share the wonderful reasons why coconut oil is a must have in your household!!! You can thank me later lol!

80 AWESOME USES FOR COCONUT OIL

Be sure to buy organic coconut oil. Most Walmart's carry it on the aisle with the other cooking oils (it's less than $7 at mine), also health stores should have them as well.
Personal Hygiene/Body:

1. Moisturizer – simply scoop some out of the jar and apply all over your body, including neck and face.
2. Eye cream – apply under the eyes to reduce puffiness, bags, and wrinkles. Use on the lids in the evening.
3. Pre-shave – coconut oil will prep skin for the pending damage caused by shaving.
4. Aftershave – coconut oil will help heal your skin after shaving without clogging pores.
5. Deodorant – coconut oil alone can be used as a deodorant, but even more effective in combination with cornstarch/arrowroot powder and baking soda!
6. Hair Conditioner/Deep Treatment - use as a leave in hair conditioner by applying a teaspoon of coconut oil to your ends and then running your fingers through your hair to distribute the rest! For a deeper treatment, rub in a tablespoon of coconut oil onto your dry scalp and gently work through to the ends. Put a shower cap on to prevent transfer onto bed linens and leave on overnight.
7. Hair Gel/Defrizzer – rub a little between your palms and either scrunch into hair (for curly hair) or finger comb in through from scalp to ends (for wavy/straight hair).
8. Toothpaste – there are numerous recipes out there but I just mix coconut oil and baking soda and dab a little of the mix on my toothbrush.
9. Make up remover – use a cotton swab and a dab of coconut oil and you would be amazed at how well it works!
10. Chapstick – just rub a little into lips and it not only acts as a softening agent but it also has an SPF of about 4 so you get a little protection!
11. Massage Oil – pretty simple; grab some and rub!
12. Lubricant – it is an all natural, perfectly safe personal lubricant. Not compatible with latex!
13. Sunscreen
14. Stretch Mark Cream – coconut oil is great at nourishing damaged skin. It may not be the magic stretch mark cure but it will help.
15. Nipple Cream – works great to nourish cracked, sore, or dry nipples. Apply to a cotton ball and leave on your nipples between feedings.
16. Diaper salve – very comforting on a rashy bum with no harsh chemicals. Also safe for cloth diapers.
17. Cradle cap – having issues with dry skin on your baby’s scalp? Coconut oil will not only nourish your baby’s skin, it also helps eliminate cradle cap. Just rub a teaspoon onto scalp daily.
18. Body scrub – mix coconut oil and sugar together and rub all over! Rinse off and your skin will be super soft! You can add in essential oils if you would like a specific smell.
19. Healing - when applied on scrapes and cuts, coconut oil forms a thin, chemical layer which protects the wound from outside dust, bacteria and virus. Coconut oil speeds up the healing process of bruises by repairing damaged tissues. Plus, it smells a heck-of-a-lot better than anything from the pharmacy.
20. Bug Bites – when applied directly to a bug bite, coconut oil can stop the itching and burning sensation as well as hasten the healing process.
21. Skin problems – coconut oil relieves skin problems such as psoriasis, dermatitis, and eczema.
22. Swimmers Ear – mix garlic oil and coconut oil and put a few drops in affected ear for about 10 minutes. Do this 2-3 times a day and it usually works within one or two days.
General Health and Wellness
23. Stress Relief - relieve mental fatigue by applying coconut oil to the head in a circular, massaging motion. The natural aroma of coconuts is extremely soothing thus helping to lower your stress level.
24. Digestion - the saturated fats in coconut oil have anti-bacterial properties that help control, parasites, and fungi that cause indigestion and other digestion related problems such as irritable bowel syndrome. The fat in coconut oil also aids in the absorption of vitamins, minerals and amino acids, making you healthier all around.
25. Fitness - coconut oil has been proven to stimulate your metabolism, improve thyroid function, and escalate energy levels, all of which help decrease your unwanted fat, while increasing muscle.
26. Nose bleeds - coconut oil can prevent nose bleeding that is caused by sensitivity to weather such as extreme hotness and extreme coldness. This condition happens when the nasal passages become dry because of cold or dry air resulting to burns and cracks in the mucus membranes so bleeding happens. To prevent this just put coconut oil in you nostrils. Coat your finger with coconut oil and then lie down and coat your finger inside your nose. Doing this will strengthen and protect the capillaries in the nasal passages. A Vitamin C supplement will also help prevent nose bleeding.
27. For breastfeeding moms, consuming 3 ½ tablespoons of coconut oil daily will enrich your milk supply.
28. Helps with weight loss & controlling cravings.
29. Helps keep blood sugar levels stable and/or helps with cravings in those with diabetes.

34. Bleeding hemorrhoids (can also be applied externally twice a day)

Cooking
68. Use 1 cup to 1 cup ratio when replacing other oils/butter in recipes with coconut oil.
69. Replacement for butter/lard/Crisco/PAM in it’s solid form – greasing pans, pie crusts, etc.
70. Replacement for various oils in liquid form – baking, cooking, sautéing, etc.

75. Chewing Gum in Hair Remover – just rub some coconut oil over the stuck chewing gum, leave in for about 30 minutes, then roll the gum between your fingertip. Voila! It’s out!
76. Polish Furniture - coconut oil with a little bit of lemon juice to polish wood furniture. However, I recommend you test it first on a very small, unobtrusive part of your furniture to make sure it works the way you’d like.
77. Polishing Bronze - all you have to do is rub a little oil into a cotton towel and then wipe down the statue. It cleans and helps deepen the color of your bronze.
78. Seasoning animal hide drums
79. Seasoning cookware
80. Moisturizing and cleaning leather products

Sleepless Nights

I try my best to give people chances to do the right thing, and no matter what has been said or done to me. I don't want bitterness and continuous anger to fall deep within my heart. I know what that looks like, what it sounds like, and bitterness is never a favorable taste on the tongue. So, I live with forgiveness in my spirit knowing one day I too will be judged. The highest judge of them all said in order for us to be forgiven we have to forgive others. Not sure about you, but I want to be forgiven. I will not say that I don't have a tough time forgiving people who have taken my kindness for weakness, but I ask God to have mercy on them because they do not know what they do and they don't understand what it means to be a child of God.. in a biblical sense they do not know. For if they did they would be willingly setting themselves up for failure, and who walks around saying when I grow up I want to be a failure, absolutely no one. I help people with their prayer lives daily, whatever they need to go to God on I come in prayer to agree with them. I've heard many request some on forgiveness of others, or receiving God's forgiveness for the things they have done that have caused them shame, pain, and guilt. That's what is so comforting to me about God that He will give you chance after chance if you come with a heart of repentance He'll give you forgiveness freely without hesitation. For normal human beings, it might take awhile to even consider being in your presence let alone forgive you especially if you did the wrongful act against them. Forgiveness just may be the last thing on their minds. Thank you Lord that isn't how you operate! You never leave us no matter how many times we turn our backs on you. We ignore your will and follow our own and once we fall on our faces, and get burned time after time. You lift us back up like the loving Father you are and dust us off to let us try again until we get it right.
