Tamera Talks About Vegas & Losing Her Virginity at 29

Tamera Talks Letting Loose in Vegas & Losing Her Virginity at 29

I really love Tia and Tamera as women they are good role models for young girls that are trying to live respectable lives. Their reality show allows those young girls and women to realize it is possible to get what you want out of life and still have good morals and values. On top of that they still now how to have a good time and be adventurous, driven, and highly family oriented. Tamera, has recently come out with the age she lost her virginity to her now husband Adam Housley. This is a story many need to see for themselves. I read it and was thanking God more light is shining on this topic. So, here it is:
The girls' trip to Vegas was well-needed! It was so much fun to just get out with the girls and let loose. I hadn't done that in a long time. Aden was 4-months-old at the time, and for four months straight, I was in mommy mode.
I had just been getting used to having a nanny. Moms know that when they take care of their kids and, then, slowly but surely put them under someone else's care, it's hard! It was very hard for me to just let go and trust that someone was going to take care of my baby just as well as I could.
But I was able to enjoy my time in Vegas thanks to my girlfriends...and a couple of drinks!
My favorite part about going to Vegas was the dancing. I wanted to dance for so long. I hadn't danced since my wedding. Going dancing with the girls was a really nice release for me.
While out for drinks, I shared with the ladies that I had waited to lose my virginity until I was 29. Some people may not understand it, but I have a lot more people who are so supportive and just encouraged by it. I recently talked about it during a radio interview. I had no idea that it was going to be that much of a big deal. My friend Cheri revealed that she's still a virgin in the episode. The women who I surround myself with share the same values.
Adam was so supportive of my decision to remain a virgin for that long, which really helped me. I met him when I was 25 or 26. If you're celibate or want to stay a virgin, it's important that you be with somebody who either shares your same view or respects it. After dating Adam for three years, I knew it was time. It just felt right. I knew that I was safe with him.
Deciding between participating in the celebrity poker tournament with Tia and leaving Vegas early to be with my husband at his big event for his alma mater was hard. It was difficult because I knew that someone I loved was not going to be happy with either decision I made.
Ultimately, I decided to be home with my family because although I knew that it would frustrate my sister, I knew that she would get over it because she knows my heart.

Benefits of Coconut Oil: Why You Should Use It

I came across this article and I had to share the wonderful reasons why coconut oil is a must have in your household!!! You can thank me later lol!

80 AWESOME USES FOR COCONUT OIL

Be sure to buy organic coconut oil. Most Walmart's carry it on the aisle with the other cooking oils (it's less than $7 at mine), also health stores should have them as well.
Personal Hygiene/Body:

1. Moisturizer – simply scoop some out of the jar and apply all over your body, including neck and face.
2. Eye cream – apply under the eyes to reduce puffiness, bags, and wrinkles. Use on the lids in the evening.
3. Pre-shave – coconut oil will prep skin for the pending damage caused by shaving.
4. Aftershave – coconut oil will help heal your skin after shaving without clogging pores.
5. Deodorant – coconut oil alone can be used as a deodorant, but even more effective in combination with cornstarch/arrowroot powder and baking soda!
6. Hair Conditioner/Deep Treatment - use as a leave in hair conditioner by applying a teaspoon of coconut oil to your ends and then running your fingers through your hair to distribute the rest! For a deeper treatment, rub in a tablespoon of coconut oil onto your dry scalp and gently work through to the ends. Put a shower cap on to prevent transfer onto bed linens and leave on overnight.
7. Hair Gel/Defrizzer – rub a little between your palms and either scrunch into hair (for curly hair) or finger comb in through from scalp to ends (for wavy/straight hair).
8. Toothpaste – there are numerous recipes out there but I just mix coconut oil and baking soda and dab a little of the mix on my toothbrush.
9. Make up remover – use a cotton swab and a dab of coconut oil and you would be amazed at how well it works!
10. Chapstick – just rub a little into lips and it not only acts as a softening agent but it also has an SPF of about 4 so you get a little protection!
11. Massage Oil – pretty simple; grab some and rub!
12. Lubricant – it is an all natural, perfectly safe personal lubricant. Not compatible with latex!
13. Sunscreen
14. Stretch Mark Cream – coconut oil is great at nourishing damaged skin. It may not be the magic stretch mark cure but it will help.
15. Nipple Cream – works great to nourish cracked, sore, or dry nipples. Apply to a cotton ball and leave on your nipples between feedings.
16. Diaper salve – very comforting on a rashy bum with no harsh chemicals. Also safe for cloth diapers.
17. Cradle cap – having issues with dry skin on your baby’s scalp? Coconut oil will not only nourish your baby’s skin, it also helps eliminate cradle cap. Just rub a teaspoon onto scalp daily.
18. Body scrub – mix coconut oil and sugar together and rub all over! Rinse off and your skin will be super soft! You can add in essential oils if you would like a specific smell.
19. Healing - when applied on scrapes and cuts, coconut oil forms a thin, chemical layer which protects the wound from outside dust, bacteria and virus. Coconut oil speeds up the healing process of bruises by repairing damaged tissues. Plus, it smells a heck-of-a-lot better than anything from the pharmacy.
20. Bug Bites – when applied directly to a bug bite, coconut oil can stop the itching and burning sensation as well as hasten the healing process.
21. Skin problems – coconut oil relieves skin problems such as psoriasis, dermatitis, and eczema.
22. Swimmers Ear – mix garlic oil and coconut oil and put a few drops in affected ear for about 10 minutes. Do this 2-3 times a day and it usually works within one or two days.
General Health and Wellness
23. Stress Relief - relieve mental fatigue by applying coconut oil to the head in a circular, massaging motion. The natural aroma of coconuts is extremely soothing thus helping to lower your stress level.
24. Digestion - the saturated fats in coconut oil have anti-bacterial properties that help control, parasites, and fungi that cause indigestion and other digestion related problems such as irritable bowel syndrome. The fat in coconut oil also aids in the absorption of vitamins, minerals and amino acids, making you healthier all around.
25. Fitness - coconut oil has been proven to stimulate your metabolism, improve thyroid function, and escalate energy levels, all of which help decrease your unwanted fat, while increasing muscle.
26. Nose bleeds - coconut oil can prevent nose bleeding that is caused by sensitivity to weather such as extreme hotness and extreme coldness. This condition happens when the nasal passages become dry because of cold or dry air resulting to burns and cracks in the mucus membranes so bleeding happens. To prevent this just put coconut oil in you nostrils. Coat your finger with coconut oil and then lie down and coat your finger inside your nose. Doing this will strengthen and protect the capillaries in the nasal passages. A Vitamin C supplement will also help prevent nose bleeding.
27. For breastfeeding moms, consuming 3 ½ tablespoons of coconut oil daily will enrich your milk supply.
28. Helps with weight loss & controlling cravings.
29. Helps keep blood sugar levels stable and/or helps with cravings in those with diabetes.

Sleepless Nights

I try my best to give people chances to do the right thing, and no matter what has been said or done to me. I don't want bitterness and continuous anger to fall deep within my heart. I know what that looks like, what it sounds like, and bitterness is never a favorable taste on the tongue. So, I live with forgiveness in my spirit knowing one day I too will be judged. The highest judge of them all said in order for us to be forgiven we have to forgive others. Not sure about you, but I want to be forgiven. I will not say that I don't have a tough time forgiving people who have taken my kindness for weakness, but I ask God to have mercy on them because they do not know what they do and they don't understand what it means to be a child of God.. in a biblical sense they do not know. For if they did they would be willingly setting themselves up for failure, and who walks around saying when I grow up I want to be a failure, absolutely no one. I help people with their prayer lives daily, whatever they need to go to God on I come in prayer to agree with them. I've heard many request some on forgiveness of others, or receiving God's forgiveness for the things they have done that have caused them shame, pain, and guilt. That's what is so comforting to me about God that He will give you chance after chance if you come with a heart of repentance He'll give you forgiveness freely without hesitation. For normal human beings, it might take awhile to even consider being in your presence let alone forgive you especially if you did the wrongful act against them. Forgiveness just may be the last thing on their minds. Thank you Lord that isn't how you operate! You never leave us no matter how many times we turn our backs on you. We ignore your will and follow our own and once we fall on our faces, and get burned time after time. You lift us back up like the loving Father you are and dust us off to let us try again until we get it right.
